Joshua 5:1 And it came to pass as all the kings heard ( the kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan by the sea, and all the kings of Phoenicia by the sea) that the lord God caused the Jordan river to dry up from before the sons of Israel in their passing over, that their thoughts melted away, and they were struck with terror, and there was not among them any one with intellect because of the presence of the sons of Israel.
